Gun P-64 is the first Polish post-war gun. He was until recently the smallest gun powered by a 9 mm Makarov cartridge. P-64 operates on the principle of using free bolt recoil energy, whose movement is inhibited shot only by force of inertia and force return spring. The pistol was used trigger mechanism of the type Double Action. The gun is equipped with a switch that allows shooting only fire single-type striking mechanism marksmen from an outdoor tap, and fuse butterfly.
Withdrawn from service pistols P-64 are exported to the civilian market in the USA, and in 2008 the year 1000 guns were donated to the Lebanese army.
